Profile:
I was born to a family of teachers. Becoming a qualified English teacher has always been my dream since I was a child. To pursue this goal, I have completed my academic studies internationally and obtained BA, MA and PhD degrees from China, U.K. and Korea. This rich education experience not only allows me to acquaint myself with the fundamental concepts and theories about English language but also improves my cross-cultural awareness and communication skills.
Before coming to Shantou University, I have 14 years of teaching experience in Dalian Maritime University, China. During this time, I have taught various English courses and accumulated a lot of advanced knowledge and teaching skills. Besides teaching, I also devote much of my time to scholarly research and various academic activities. My main research interests lie in the area of corpus linguistics, ESP and discourse analysis.
