I am currently a lecturer of English Language Center, College of Liberal Arts, Shantou University. After I obtained my master degree in language learning and education at the University of York, UK, I started to work at the students affairs department of Shantou University as Tutor from 2011-2014. I then went to the English Language Center as an English language instructor from 2014-2016 and I was promoted as lecturer at 2016.
I have a great passion for language teaching and tutoring. I have taught various language courses, including Foundation, Level 1 and Level 2 in the ELC, as well as English Composition 1 and English Composition 2 in the English department for double-major students of English.
Besides, I have been worked as the independent language learning consultant for more than 3 years. I also serve as language tutor in Chinese room which provides one-to-one Chinese course for international faculty and students.In addition, I serve as organizer of Small Talk Club.
My research interests mainly focus on teacher identity, conceptual metaphor and computer-assisted language learning. I had given presentations at different academic conferences at home and abroad, such as in Nanjing, Suzhou, Japan, Australia and Russia.
